The Solution:
WebXperts created a content management system (CMS) geared specifically towards the Ted Turner site. All content items on the site were editable, depending on the type of user who made the edits, the changes was either instantly added to the site, or added to a pending content queue. As any content was pending, administrators were alerted via email that they should log in to approve the new or edited content. New content items could be added to any section of the site, along with accompanying images that could be uploaded and resized through the administrative backend. The CMS also allowed for individual pages to be created to link to off any content on the site. These unique pages could have links, images, file downloads and bulleted lists added with the click of a mouse. WebXperts also created built-in templates for these pages so that they did not need to be created from scratch with every content addition. The CMS also has the ability for links to "expire". When a link expires, all administrators are alerted via email. They may then choose whether to remove the link, reset the expiration date, or remove the expiration date altogether. A site history file was created, so that any user could log in to see when certain pages were added, edited or removed from the site. A separate user history file and media user history file were also created, so that administrators could see when media users and general users logged in to the site, and what they did while they were logged in.
