Project Span: 2000 The Situation: JVC wanted to market and sell their 20 bit hi-fidelity audio CD media, the XRCD, online. JVC needed an e-commerce solution that allowed for an ever-growing catalog of merchandise and had the ability to tie in with a pre-existing fulfillment system. In terms of design and brand identity, JVC wanted the site to embody the backbone of the XRCD offering, jazz. The Solution: WebXperts created a modern, energetic design to match the jazz based XRCD catalog. Using a database-driven e-commerce solution, WebXperts built a searchable, browsable, fun site that led to a significant increase in sales. WebXperts merged the new e-commerce application with JVC's existing fulfillment system, thereby allowing for a seamless web transition. WebXperts created and designed a gateway page that funneled Japanese traffic to a different site than U.S. traffic.
